‘Goddess of the Sea’ - Selene Shipyard Featured in Latest Passagemaker Magazine
“I witnessed the camaraderie of the community, too. They are an adventurous, knowledgeable lot and close-knit group, united by a shared passion of power cruising aboard Selenes. I overheard owners making plans to meet in Maine or the Bahamas.” - Jeff Moser (excerpt from article)

The September 2026 issue of Passagemaker magazine has just hit mailboxes and newsstands. And we were very excited to see that one of the feature articles is about our expanded Selene/Jet-Tern Marine shipyard in Zhuhai. In the article, Passagemaker editor Jeff Moser details his trip last December to China, where he witnessed the yard expansion grand opening ceremony and later traveled to Beijing alongside Selene founder/designer Howard Chen.
In addition to introducing several recent models and telling the story behind the Selene name, Jeff discusses Howard’s ambitious goals for the Selene brand. Perhaps more importantly, he expresses confidence that Selene will one day reach our goal of 1000 hulls produced (we are almost half-way there).
As the premier magazine dedicated to trawlers and bluewater cruising, we highly recommend you subscribe to Passagemaker. We will also be adding the digital article to the article archive on our website later this autumn.
