New Selene Owners Troy & Debbi Irwin Go Viral on YouTube!

When we uploaded a recent interview of Troy and Debbi Irwin aboard their Selene 57 ‘Excalibur’ to YouTube, we expected it to be of great interest to our Selene community. After all, Troy and Debbi are the type of fun, articulate and down-to-earth people that instantly just feel like old friends. Likewise, Excalibur is a beautiful boat, and the couple discuss a lot of interesting topics, like learning the ropes of boating, getting support from the Selene community, and pet safety while cruising.

What we didn’t expect was for the video to get over 10,000 views on YouTube in just over two days, and inspire comments such as:

“I literally fell off my chair! We have the exact same story!!”

“I hope you guys start a YouTube channel so we can all join you!”

“Great video for someone like me who is looking to make the same jump! ”

It seems that Troy and Debbi’s inspiring story of buying a Selene 57 trawler with little boating experience has really struck a nerve – especially with the other “armchair adventurists” out there. We hope this is a sign that there are many other people aspiring to live this amazing trawler lifestyle. Selene Americas (and our wider community) is here to help them make their dreams a reality!
