Selene Engine Room Tour and Start Up Process
While in Baltimore for the 2026 Selene East Coast Owner’s Rendezvous, Selene President Wayne Goldman walked us through the process of starting up a recently delivered Selene 60 Classic Explorer prior to a journey.

Beginning in the engine room, Wayne points out core systems and components that should be checked pre-voyage, as well as what types of regular maintenance are necessary.
Wayne then takes us up to the helm, where he explains key instrumentation and steps for setting off. While some of the steps and equipment may seem complex, most of this process quickly becomes second-nature to owners and crew. However, to make sure every owner is confident in their ability to handle a trawler, Selene also spends multiple days training owners on the systems and equipment aboard their new Selene.
