“Truly a masterpiece of Selene design.” – Jeff Moser (Editor of Passagemaker)
Jeff Moser of PassageMaker takes us on a video tour of ‘Coffee Break’, a well-maintained 2009 Selene 60 Classic Explorer.

At Trawlerfest Baltimore 2025, PassageMaker editor-in-chief Jeff Moser took a quick video tour of ‘Coffee Break’, a gorgeous 2009 Selene 60 Classic Explorer.
Calling the vessel, “Truly a masterpiece of Selene design,” Jeff points out some of the traits that Selene trawlers are known for, as well as the custom options and upgrades that make ‘Coffee Break’ so unique.
As for those common traits, the video shows off the curved European transom, unrivaled woodwork & build quality, ample stowage capacity, and surprisingly spacious engine room that feature on most Selene trawlers.

Of course, with its extra solar capacity, upgraded electronics, and a unique ‘galley up’ configuration (where the galley is integrated with the pilot house), Coffee Break is also a one-of-a-kind vessel, and the perfect yacht for the full-time live-aboard owners who call it “home” (at least until their new Selene is completed).
Unfortunately, what the short video is unable to show happens to be what this vessel is most famous for- and that’s its efficient ocean-going performance, stable smooth ride, and ease of handling from sea to shore.
Reach out if you’re interested in seeing Coffee Break in person or touring another Selene.
